QUESTION: im a  7th grade girl  n i have project. i have to grow plants with detergents like  prill  detol  n so on . n compare with a normal  plant im worried that what will i show to my teachers as they were dead in 2 days no info from internet u r my last source ill wait for your reply thnx.

QUESTION: see ive put detergent in it, it is a 12 month plant it is not a seasonal plant.ive taken 5 plants ive put prill in one  detol in one finayal in one n lizol in one n one normal water n they were dead in 2 days. my teacher tells me to make my project as scientific i can.  what do you mean by control??? pl. help meeeeeeeee thnx

ANSWER: The one with plain water is your control plant.Did it die also? It sounds like you added pure detergent to the plants. You should have diluted with the same amount of water. Did you make a hypothesis?

Here is what you should do now. Get new plants that are all the same size or start with seeds (use beans) Pick one detergent only. Use two plants to test the detergent and one for plain water. Plant #1. Dilute the detergent by four with pure water. Plant #2 Dilute by six. Plant #3 plain water. Everyday water each plant with the same amount of water and be sure each gets the same amopunt of light. Measure the growth of the plants with a ruler
 Make a table to show growth.
