Question
im doing a science fair project on how cigeratte smoke effects plant growth.im using corn and butter beans. i need help PLEASE!!!

Answer
Hi Joey
Before I can help you you will have to tell me more about this project. How do you plant to use the smoke to treat the plants. Certainly you do not plan to burn or smoke cigarettes. And unless you use a lot of smoke over a long period of time there would be no effect on plants.
Her is what I suggest that you do.
Change you question to "How does nicotine effect the growth of plants"
Get an adult to by some tobacco for you (chewing tobacco would work) and soak it in distilled water and water the plants as soon as they sprout.
Watch your controls. Water some plants with plain water.
Do not use two different plants but just use one kind (Beans would be better then corn)

Let me know what you do. keep me informed.
