Question
Hi,
I just moved to my new place, and i have notice this little like flies in my bathroom. They re bigger than nats but smaller than flies.  Today When i was washing my hands i noticed this little black worms around the sink, they are really small.  I have a 15 month old baby and i am worried.  I Brush her teeth on the sink and takes bath in that bathroom. I am worried that she may have swallowed one  and it can harm her. Please let me know what this could be.

~Julie

Answer
Hi Julie
These sound like drain flies. Tje worms are the larvae.  They breed in in the sink and bath drains. They do carry any diseases and will not harm your child. Get the strongest drain cleaned you can find and treat the drains, repeating until the flies are gone
