Question
QUESTION: sir,i want ask you some question..first,how to be a zoological?..and second question is how much zoological salary in Malaysia?...is it based on the degree or what?...that all..thank you..

ANSWER: Dear Faiz,

The best way to become a zoologist in any country is to get a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university, majoring in biology or--if the institution grants such a degree--zoology.  You will get a broad education in chemistry, mathematics, and biology, and this will help you understand how to study animals and do research in the area of zoology.

You will have to check with zoologists (check your universities) to know about salaries in Malaysia.  I am in Miami, Florida, and really have no idea what the typical salary for a zoologist would be in your country.  However, the higher your degree, the higher your pay scale will be in almost any case.  A Ph.D. will be paid more than a B.S. or Master's degree holder.

I hope this helps.  Good luck with your goal!

QUESTION: sir,for your information,i am very superb in biology..if i don't want to be a zoological, what are others ambition suitable to me?...

Answer
Dear Faiz,

Wildlife conservation, ecology, so many fields in which not just zoology, but plant/animal interactions are important, might be interesting to you.  You can also find research positions, teaching positions, jobs in environmental law, etc.  The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

You can find more help at the university where you get your degree, as there are departments that specialize in career planning for every major.

Good luck!
