Ok Deb
Decide on about three concentrations of salt water. Maybe 1%  5% and 10%  Use four pots and potting soil. get some bean seeds. They are easiest to grow. Plant and water with the three concentrations and plain water in the 4th pot. Be sure of your controls . the only thing that should vary is the solutions. All else is the same: amount of water and light and soil
