Biology/DNA extraction of Kiwi

Question
How can I make a fruit's DNA more visible to myself after doing an extraction of DNA? Am I supposed to add more salt? alcohol? or get a larger fruit?

Thanks

Answer
Dear Miranda,

The simplest way to amplify DNA molecules (or segments of interest) for further study is via polymerase chain reaction (PCR). For that, though, you will need a very expensive piece of equipment.

If you simply want to visualize the DNA molecule in the fruit, there are special lab techniques to use.  But I'm not sure if this is what you are asking.
