Hi Lee
First of all if you have to become acquainted with the scientific method. Follow these steps
1. Decide upon a problem to solve
2. Do a little research on the topic
3. Make a hypothesis or guess as to what the answer is
4. Design an experiment to test your hypothesis
5. Collect your data
6. Draw conclusions
7 report your results

I assume you need a biology topic and I cannot tell what to choose
