Question
Can you please explain Action Potential to me and how it travels across the sarcolemma.
I am also having a hard time understandin the sodium potassium pump!

Answer
Dear Enna,

It would take an extremely long email for me to completely describe the action potential or sodium/potassium pump to you, and it's not even really possible without pictures.  Fortunately, there are some really excellent web sites that provide good tutorials and videos of these phenomena.  For starters, try these:

http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/ap.html

and a nice video here:

with lots of links to related videos.  YouTube is actually one of the best places to find nice, clear videos for lots of different scientific explanations.

Hope this helps.
