Question
Dear sir,
 Im a year9 student.My questions are that
(1)For the same mass of fats and carnbohydrates, fats provide more energy. Can we only eat fats without taking in any carbohydrates?
(2)Why may a person die quickly if the kidneyd fail to function?
(3)How does a kidney machine treat kidney failure?
(4)Why can't people with kidney failure take in too much fluid and high-protein food?
Thanks for answering my questions :)
 Yours Faithfully,
 Veronica

Answer
1. The metabolism of fats takes much longer then that of a carbohydrate
2. The kidneys filter out wastes. If this is not done then the body chemistry is altered and cell damage occurs
3.The blood is passed through filters and the waste products are removed
4.With kidney failure body fluid is maintained and this can affect the lungs and all tissues. High protein food contain Nitrogen and nitrogen wastes are eliminated by the kidney
