Biology/DNA

Question
Hi

I am currently doing my PhD in cell biology and one of my task is dealing with DNA. I am exploring ways and different conditions which I can use to treat with DNA. Any ideas what are some of the buffers that can be use to treat DNA? My team suggested sucrose, will it be a good choice?

I probably need to compare them with several different kind of buffers and with untreated ones. Kindly give me some thoughts.

Thanks so much
