Question
Greetings & regards. How are you sir? I am asking you some question.

1.Why does exponential growth lead to large cell population in so short period of time?
2.Binary fission is called transverse fission-why?
3.Why a bacterial cell population enters into
stationary phase?
4.Characteristic of Actinomycetes &
chlamydiae.

Thanks in advance.

Tranverse fission Biology. Contribute ... Binary fission is the primary method of reproduction of prokaryotic organisms. ... such as transverse or longitudinal, ...Binary fission in a prokaryote 1. The bacterium before binary fission is when the DNA is tightly coiled. 2. The DNA of the bacterium has replicated.    Strobilation or transverse fission is a form of asexual reproduction consisting of the spontaneous transverse segmentation of the body. It is observed in certain cnidarians and helminths. This mode of reproduction is characterized by high offspring output, which ,in the case of the parasitic tapeworms, is of great significance.  I'm guessing because fission is just replication. And a sexual process requires the mixing of gametes from two different parents.
