Question
How is our repiratory system designed to reduce water loss? I've looked through my text book and the web and i still can't find it . Thank you ^-^

Answer
Actually Julieann the lungs function to contribute to 10-20 % of the bodies total water loss through evaporation.  Water is given off during expiration.  The respiratory system is involved in our water balance.  I have not heard of references to the system preventing water loss.
