Biology/Biology-- Review of the Living Environment
Expert: Walter Hintz - 8/16/2005
QuestionWell, you see, i've never taken a biology course, this is my first time. It's actually a packet sent to me from a place called Keystone Credit Completion. I'm doing it as a part of Summer School. And this course, on top of never taking it before, none of the questions relate to the reading so that makes it even harder for me, and thats why its so confusing for me, because I never have taken it before. Even my cousin could not figure anything out and she said Biology was her easiest subject in High School and she always got really good grades and she could not figure any of the questions out. Anyways, heres some more questions.
1. Which statement most accurately describes the process of respiration? (1)It occurs in plants only in daylight hours and usually involves the exchange of gases. (2)It occurs only in plants during the daylight hours and involves the taking in of performed organic mlecules. (3)It occurs continuously in the cells of all organisms and involves the synthesis of carbohydrate molecules. (4)It occurs continuously in the cells of all organisms and often involves an exchange of gases.
2. Only small amounts of enzymes are required for reactions with cells because enzymes are (1)fragile (2) reused (3)small molecules (4)constantly synthesized
3. In order to survive, all organisms must carry out (1)autotrophic nutrition. (2)heterotrophic nutrition. (3)enzyme-controlled reactions. (4)the process of reproduction.
4. Which group of organic compounds includes the enzymes? (1)proteins (2)carbohydrates (3)sugars (4)starches
Answer1 4
2 all are correct
3 3 and 4 are correct
4 1
These are really bad questions.
Asking questions that do not relate to the reading makes no sense. I looked up this program. They list biology books. Maybe you should go to the library and get some biology study guides. Does Keystone provide them? What do you get when you finish the course?
Why don't you check out a local community college where there are actual teachers?
