Hi. I will be a senior this year and am trying to complete a summer project on the coniferous forest/taiga biome.  I was wondering if you knew...
   exactly how big it is (percentage wise) or...
   could offer me a sample food web.

Hi talene;  This sounds like a great project.  However the information you seek here is readily available in any really good ecology of environmental science textbook.  There you can find illustrations and diagrams describing the Taiga that I cannot really give you by hunting and pecking on a computer keyboard.  Too many students today resort to the internet for information that is much more accessible at the library.
