Question
Do a majority of diseases have a central area of origin i.e, Africa, Asia, North America, ect.?

Answer
 Hi Tim
So it seems. at least with hereditary diseases. Sickle cell began in west africa. Ebola also began in Africa. Sleeping sickness began in Africa because the vector (tsetsi fly) is found there. In transmittable disease the vector is important.  Malaria occurs where the Anopheles mosquito is found.  Some flu viruses began in Asia.
Many bacterial diseases like pneumonia are universal.
