Question
What are the structures that enable vision? the least amount of stuctures, i can read about the whole eye in the text but if i were to keep it to a bear minimum which stuctures would contribute to vision?

Answer
Have you ever seen how a pinhole camera is made?  All you need is a box with a hole in front and some photographic paper in the back.
In the eye you need the eye chamber(box) a pupil(hole) and a retina(Photo paper)
This is a  simplification of course since the pinhole camera gives a fuzzy image and the eye needs a lens to focus.  And do not forget the brain to interpret the image.
