Translations of Ancient Sumerian texts by scholar Zecharia Sitchin place the evolution of our species as having been a genetic modification by an 'alien' race. Much scientific evidence supports this hypothesis including areas outside of the genetic scope yet there is one area that I need some advice on.

In the tablets the genetic code which was being manipulated by the 'creators' (already mixed) is stated to have been divided into twenty two strains or 'branches'. Another two were added to allow the animals to procreate. According to current knowledge how does this method of categorization of the human genome match up?

Hi Daniel; I am not a follower of Sitchin nor his Ancient astronaut theories.  As far as I know there is no physical evidence indicating that his ideas have any merit.  In fact there is no physical evidence of the presence of aliens at any time..  The ideas may be true but in science a fact is only a fact if it can be proven false.
Therefore I cannot speak to the supposed manipulation of the human genome
