Question
There is one website I believe of a few that make mension of it.

http://www.hippocrates.com.au/negative.html

I also couldn't help but take note that modern day air purifiers release negative ions with the clean air when it is expelled.

Answer
I will keep an open mind but I believe that this article is designed to sell an appliance. The article quotes articles from psychology journals.  Studies like the effects of ions on behavior are not testable. I minored in psychology in college and I am not enamored with regard to scientific methods in psychology
I do not know about the effects of the release of ions from air purifier.  But of course they do because they trap particles through ionization.  If someone is happier around a purifier it could be because they are breathing better.

Thanks for the feedback James.  Any time you want to ask me any thing just do so.  I found our exchange stimulating.  If I did want to do this I would stop.
