Question
What is the difference between a monogenean and a digenean parasite?

What is the difference between a myxosporean and microsporidian?

Answer
Hi Nicole:
Mono means one and di means two
Monogeneans are flukes that complete the life cycle in one host(fish) and digeneans have two hosts. (fish and snail)
I am not sure about this terminology as the Microsporeans belong to the Phylum Myxospora.
