Question
Hello,

I have always wondered why in the winter, the temperature of my house is 70 degrees, feels too cool to me and I dress in winter clothes, and a sweater, while in the summer, my house is 70 degrees, I dress in shorts and I feel too warm.

Thank you.

Gail

Answer
Hi Gail:  I have to admit it but I too wonder why this is so.  Temperature regulation of our bodies varies with individuals so it seems that your body has a problem deciding what temperature is just right.  My wife has this problem.  She can never seem to get dressed for the right temperature.
Although I am not licensed to practice medicine I might point out the Thyroid gland malfunction can bring about problems with temperature regulation.  You may wish to have this checked out if you feel the problem is affecting your daily activities.
