Question
Hello, what is a scientific essay? For my biology class, I will not be doing any research but have to write an essay, not a paper, about any topic. Do you know how that is done?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Moose:
An essay is a narrative written from the authors point of view.  It is non fiction and subjective and usually written in prose although some essays are done poetically.  Let's say for example( in biology) that you are asked to write an essay about spiders.  Rather than doing research about spiders with facts about them. your composition would involve your thoughts about spiders. Or it could be an assay about butterflies or other insects.
