Biology/WORMS IN MY SINK

Question
I am also having a problem with little worms in my sink. I read another submission on this subject forom a Mary. The worms in my sink come from the drainage hole on the top of the basin. They are very small 1/8 of an inch to a quarter of an inch. They look slimey and they are greyish/blackish. I have also seen these little nat like flies in my bathroom. I did not put the two together until I read this website. They are bigger than a fruit flie, smaller than your average flie and have very thick looking wings.... I thought the worms were in the sink because there was a lot of mildew in the little drainage area (it never fully drains or dries.. bad design i guess) so i sprayed bleach and the worms crawled out into the basin. They also seem to have gotten bigger in the days since i sprayed the bleach? maybe i should use a bug killer?

Answer
 Hi Emily
I feel sure that these worms are maggots from the flies you see.  Pour about a half a bottle of heavy duty drano down the drain.  Wait a couple of hours and pour down the rest of it.  If they are in the drain that should kill them.  They need energy and are probably feeding on bacteria in the drain.
Let me know if this works.
