Question
I'd like to know what kinds of bacteria and mold grow in dog urine saturated carpeting, pad and subflooring, and a listing of health problems this is likely to cause.
I'd like this information to be from a highly reputabe source- if there is a book I can ask my library to get it on loan.

Answer
Hi Shirley
Bummer!!   Since the urine is acid and contains nitrogen,  ammonia is a byproduct which will retard bacterial growth so I would not suspect health problems.  Is there a lot of urine there and has it dried?  After drying bacteria cannot grow. If you have an order problem try some Fabrese.
Just for thr heck of it I went to google and searched "dog urine and bacteria" and found a site about this.  There is a product called Dog Urine Cleaner that contains bacteria that breaks down the urine. Go to
