what is the difference between filtration and reabsorption?

Answer
Filtration is the process whereby excess ions are removed from the blood stream.  A lot of waqter is involved and it must be reabsorbed into the blood stream.  Filtration occurs in the capsule of the nephron and water is reabsorbed  in the distal tubules
