Question
What color eyes will my baby have if my eye color is light brown and my mates eye color is blue green?

Answer
Dear Xavier,

Eye color is controlled by several genes, so it is not possible to predict the offspring eye color with 100% accuracy.

If you have *no* family background of light-colored (i.e., blue, green, grey) eyes, then the baby will likely have brown eyes.  That you have lightly pigmented irises, as does your mate, suggests that the baby might also have lightly pigmented irises.  But genes can combine in mysterious ways, so this is only a prediction of what is possible.

I hope the baby is healthy and has lovely eyes, no matter what color.
