What is the genus and species name for helicobacter poylori?
Helicobactor pylori is the scientific name. Helicobactor is the Genus and pylori is the species.
It gains entrance to the digestive track and remains there and reproduces but is usually kept under control by other bacteria. Under extreme circumstances it can flare up and cause an ulcer in the stomach or duodenum, possibly if the mucus lining of the stomach is compromized.
