Question
are there any chemicals that can permanently inhibit the melanogenic enzymes,
such as tyrosinase, therefore stoping the body's melanin production?

Answer
Dear Edouard,

There are many different agents in use in cosmetic medicine that lighten the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis.  One of the most common is hydroquinolone, but there are others.

You can find a complete overview of this here:

Hope that will help get you started.
