Question
descibe how a molecule of oxygen gets from the air outside the body into the blood capillaries of the lung include the actual gas exchange at the alveour surface

Answer
The diaphragm muscle relaxes lowering the pressue inside the lung cavity and air rushes in through the bronchi and bronchioles.  Air rich in O2 fills the alveoli that are next to venules rich in CO2.  CO2 diffuses out of the venules and O2 diffuses in.  The diaphragm contracts forcing air out of the lung.
