Question
will u please provide me with the names of some of these organisms please:Dog,rabbit, cattle, buffalo, horse, maize stem borer, sheep, cat, monkey, and domestic chicken

Answer
Dear Akinniyi

Here are those names.  Note that a scientific name is correctly written only if the genus (first name) is capitalized, and the species (second name) is lower case, and the entire name is written in *italics* to indicate that it's Latinized.  (I can't do italics in this email program, but you get the idea.)

Dog:  Canis familiaris

Domestic Rabbit:  Oryctolagus cuniculus

Domestic cow:  Bos taurus

American Bison (also called "buffalo," but that's not its real, correct name):  Bos bison

Horse:  Equus equus

Maize stem borer:  Chilo partellus  (a moth larva)

Domestic sheep:  Ovis aries

Domestic cat:  Felis cattus

Monkey:  There are very many species of monkey.  Which species do you mean?

Domestic chicken:  Gallus domesticus

You can find just about any scientific name with Google by putting in as keywords:  "scientific name" and the common name of the critter or plant you're seeking.  (But the ones you gave me were the easy ones.  :)  )

Hope that helps!  :)
