Question
Is it possible to alter a person's blood type at birth or at any other time?
Can all the blood be changed or only some of the blood?
Are there any side effects?

Answer
Hi,

I suppose by altering the DNA in the blood stem cells, you could alter blood type - if you did this then all blood cells would be altered. If done early enough then body may recognise these altered cells as "self" but otherwise there might be an immune response.
