Biotech & Biomedical/Hospital revenues from clinical Trials

Question
Hi

I am researching on the hospital industry and I wanted to find out what portion of a hospital's revenue comes from clinical trials. Generally speaking a pharma company pays investigators, hopsitals for the services they provide when one of their patients is enrolled in a clinical trial.

Is there any way you could help me with this? It would be interesting to know what the percentage of revenue is, how much it actually is in terms of dollars and who pays for this.

Alternatively, can you tell me the sources for such kind of information.

Thanks in Advance,
Monil

Answer
This is highly dependant on geography / location.
Some Hospitals do 0 research.
Some are research hospitals.
All hospitals have lengthier red tape to conduct clinical trials.
Over the last 5 years there has been a significant decline in hospital participation in clinical research.
