Question
What is meant by this statement: "Just as we can never conclusively confirm a scientific hypothesis, we can never conclusively confute one either." Can you give me an original example of this concept?  I cannot understand what it means.

It's from a book titled How to Think About Weird things.

Answer
You should contact the author.
It generally means, scientific experiments can not be repeated exactly, so the results vary every time an experiment is repeated.
But, you can not refute the findings, if the scientific experiment was conducted appropriately.
