Question
sir m going to marry a girl who was diagnosed with mood disorder in 2005 jun, earlier she was on 1000mg depakote now she is on 500mg wat precautions v should take if v want to have kids, whether she need some other drug due to marital life, please guide me

Answer
Vicky:

There should be no need to change medication because of getting married.  If you two decide to have children, I would suggest discussing the matter with the prescribing physician.  He/she will be able to work out what is best for your girlfriend's particular history.  The best advice I can give is to enjoy your marriage, talk to her doctor if she plans on getting pregnant and not to allow her to stop any medication without a doctor's okay.
