Question
QUESTION: what kind of meds can i take to treat bi polar i have tryied verything and nothing seems to work

ANSWER: Hi erica

I am not an expert in the drug treatment of Bipolar Disorder. Thus any question regarding the right medication, I suggest you consult your doctor.

However I do know that Bipolar people do benefit from going on a hypoglycemic diet as this will stabilize blood sugar levels. This may be due to unstable blood sugar levels due to insulin resistance. You can test yourself with the

Please test yourself with the

The Nutrition-Behavior Inventory Questionnaire (NBI) at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/nutrition-behavior_inventory.html

and

The Hypo Quizz at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.org/hypo_test.asp

and if you score above normal, you are likely to have a hypopglycemic syndrome, which could be responsible for some of the symptoms, and which can be treated by going on a hypoglycemic diet. But she should be able to treat herself by going on a hypoglycemic diet.

I also suggest you discuss with your doctors alternative approaches to the treatment of Bipolar Disorder as explained at:

Treatment for Bipolar Disorder at:

I hope I have been of some help.

QUESTION: um i got 115 on the questioner is that bad?

Answer
Hi erica,

A score of 115 definitely indicates that you have a metabolic disorder. I suggest that you go on a hypoglycemic diet and see if this improves symptoms. Also have regard to possible allergies and food sensitivities. You can check yourself for these with:
