Question
can people that have bipolar able to take care of childern

Answer
It would vary from person to person.  Also, anyone would need to ask many, many questions about the person and his or her life in order to answer.

Can you find someone in your local area to talk to about this?  If there is a NAMI chapter near you, members there would have many good questions and opinions.  Find a group at nami.org

My own answers, knowing nothing about a particular person, would fall between "probably, if all my questions get satisfactory, reassuring answers, and if there is a support network in place for that parent" to "absolutely not."

Thank you for writing.
