Bipolar Disorder/bipolar and migraine combination

Question
My daughter a 20 yr old third year undergraduate is having bad headaches that
seem to enter through the right eye and the next several days cause
considerable depression. she also seems to have mild mania.  I am her father
and have been diagnosed as sever bipolar. What would you suggest. Do you
ever do consultations over the phone? Thanking you in advance  John Sabolich

Hi . . .

There is data that shows an association, especially in women between bipolar disorder and migraine headaches. In some populations 70% of women with bipolar-II have migraine.

I think your daughter should have a psychiatric evaluation.

I do not do phone evaluations and know no psychiatrists who will evaluate a new patient that way.
