Bipolar Disorder/My wife needs help

Question
Hello, I am Doris Matel's father.
I live in Trumbull CT with my wife.
We are both 64 and suffer from depression.
Our son is 21 and has PDDNOS, OCD and ADHD.
My wife is taking lexapro, abilify and goodness knows what else.

I want her to get a second opinion on her medications as she is a zombie at present.  Can you help?  Do you take
insurance?  We are both retired IBMers.

Answer
Richard . . .

I would be happy to see you wife for an evaluation. But, I do not accept any insurance. I have a colleague in Connecticut who is top notch and it may be more convent for you to get to. He is:

Bruce Shapiro, M.D.
666 Glenbrook Road
Stamford, CT 06906
203-327-4144

I have no idea if he takes insurance.

If your wife decides that she wishes to see me, please have her call my secretary at 212-876-7800.

Best regards . . .
