Question
I was told that anyone with bi-polar should not take vicodin  is this correct.

Answer
Hi Denny:

Any type of narcotic, such as Vicodin, can worsen the symptoms of bipolar disorder.  It is not advisable to take them if at all possible.  If you must, be aware that bipolar medication will have to be adjusted to compensate for any changes.
