Question
Hi.  I am a registered psychologist practicing in Western Australia.  I was wondering if you were aware of any research relating to bipolar disorder and false reporting of familial sexual abuse?
Thanks for your time.

Answer
I don't know any literature on it, but that doesn't mean there isn't any.  I am rarely in the literature, formerly, anymore.  In my experience, or anecdotal stuff, no, I am unaware.

Do you know how to use PubMed [or maybe it's Pub Med?]  It's the new name for MEDLINE.  Or do you have access to PsychINFO, the index in your field??

Any med library near you - or far - who could run this for you???

OR - you can try Googling it.  I often get hits from the lit from Google, and not just popular stuff.

Ivan Goldberg, MD, whose interest is mainly depression, is also on the allexpert's list - you might try him.
