Question
I am 60 year old should I say on the med. forever

Answer
Hi Merv, I apologize for the delay in answering your question.  I was having computer problems. Yes, if you are on medication for bipolar disorder, it is important to keep taking it.  As we get older, symptoms can increase drastically and stopping your medication would put you at risk of having an episode.
