Question
I was recently prescribed this after I told the doctor I just have anxiety, worry and depressed. I read how it has not help some people and even read where it says prescribed if depression in not prominent. How do I know what to do? I mean I take fish oil, vitamin d3, diovan, androgel, concerta, protonix. I take so many meds and life is stil the same downward spiral. Did he make the right decision putting me on trileptal. I was told I had bipolar but I don't have tthe upwards like some. I'm mostly at the depressed end. Can this help with depression along with the other stuff?

Answer
Hi James . . .

Treating bipolar depression is challenging. Whiel trileptal occasionally is VERY useful, I have had much more success treating people with such depression with Lamictal. There is no way I can say if it is right for you.

Best regards . . .
