Question
i have been diagnosed as bipolar with psychosis 3 years ago. i am on 200 mg of lamictal and 5 mg of abilify. sometimes i still have auditory hallucinations is this normal?

Answer
Hi Lisa . . .

Auditory hallucinations are sometimes experienced by people with bipolar disorder. Abilify was probably probably prescribed to control the hallucinations. If the hallucinations continue, please be sure to tell your psychiatrist about them. The Abilify dose will probably be increased or you will be switched to another medication that may do a better job at controlling them.

Best regards . . .
