Bipolar Disorder/EMSAM

Question
Have you found in your practice any effectiveness for the EMSAM patch for treatment resistant depression?
I'm finding that some doctors have never heard of it. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Trina . . .

My experience with EMSAM even in high doses has generally been disappointing. I use a lot of MAOI treatment in my practice and get much better results with Nardil or Parnate than with EMSAM.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. EMSAM promises more than it can deliver.

Best regards . . .

Ivan
