Question
any harmfull side effects with long term remeron?

Answer
Hi Frank . . .

ASs you probable know most drugs are approved on the basis of studies that usually last 8 to 12 weeks and then people take them for 20 years.

Remeron has been around for many years. There are two side effects that may impact on people in the long run. One is weight gain, which can be severe, and which on occasion causes clinical diabetes.

The other serious long term side effect in very small percentage of those who take it on a long term basis is chronic sleepiness . . . which in some instances has resulted in automobile accidents.

Best regards . . .
