hi.  my doctor just diagnosed me with bipolar disorder.  i am on 20 mg of lexapro and 10 mg of abilify.  i really don't know if it is helping.  i was wondering if i could have add on top of the bipolar.  is that common?  i've looked at the symptoms nd i have alot of them but they seem alot like bipolar.  any advice would be great.  thanks!!!  joy

Answer
Hi . . .

The symptoms of bipolar disorder and ADD/ADHD overlap. More often than not ADD/ADHD is overdiagnosed and bipolar disorder is underdiagnosed.
