Question
My Son had several short duration and one long duration(good part of day) blackouts while taking Geodon. I am trying to get more information on the prevalence of blackouts with this drug and other antipsychotics. He has also taken Abilify, Risperdal and Zyprexa

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Dan:  I'm sorry about the delay--I answered this the other day and evidently the answer didn't "take".

Blackouts are NOT a normal reaction to Geodon.  My advice would be to call your son's doctor as soon as possible and explain what is going on.
