Question
IS THE CHANCE OF HAVING A BIPOLAR CHILD LOWER IF THE FATHER IS BIPOLAR AND THE MOTHER IS NOT AND THIS DISEASE IS NOT IN HER FAMILY?

Answer
Hi . . .

If either parent has bipolar disorder the probability of each child having bipolar disorder is about 15%. It seems not to make a difference if the parent with the bipolar disorder is the father or the mother.
