Is there any clinical evidence that the cocktails of subtherapeutic doses work for bipolar?

Hi . . .

Whiel I am unaware of any formal studies of the use of a combination of subtherapeutic doses of multiple mood stabilizers may effective control mood swings in people with bipolar disorder. However, I and just about every psychopharmacologists with whom I have discussed this matter have used such cocktails successfully in some patients who were unable to tolerate conventional doses of mood stabilizers.
