Bipolar Disorder/geodon and bipolar

Question
My doctor suggested I take 20mg of geodon at night. I started Friday and ever since, my sleep has been off. I normally go to bed around 10:00 and get up at 6:00. Since then, it's 11, 12, or even 1am before I settle. The mornings are then wicked. It's supposed to make you drowsy, but wired? I'm a little manic, but more awake with a headache dying to go to sleep, but can't. Is this normal? Should I back up the pill a few hours? Thanks, happy sleeping.

Answer
I truly don't know.  This should be a phone call to your doc today.  Sorry you are having such trouble w/ it.

To check it out more, see www.rxlist.com   I think they now display tabs at the side, for additional info like side effects, etc.

And/or - check w/ a pharmacist.
