Question
Hi
About 7 years ago I was taking a course of antidepressants I felt great they ran out so i stopped taking them . i got headaches then started having panic attacks and at one stage i felt high i wasn't sleeping etc etc Any way i realised something was very wrong I went to doc he said i was bipolar i was put on a drug to bring me down ..after a few weeks i was fine ... I got a second opinion as i didn't want to be on a drug for the rest of my life  The second opinion was I had a reaction to the antidepressants and i should never take any ever again .. i haven't for 7 years and have never had another episode ... Now my question is .. I have neuropathic pain I have seen a specialist today and he has given me 2 boxes of LYRICA PREGABALIN .. 75gr to see if it helps with the jaw / teeth / nerve pain...Is pregabalin a form of antidepressant ? or like a mood stabilizer ? I really don't want to take something that may eventually make me manic ! help!!

Answer
Hi Rachel,
As a Nutritional Psychologist i am not familiar with all the ramifications of antidepressant medications. The best is to discuss this with your doctor.

For an alternative treatment of pain I suggest you read:
